A new rail route to Switzerland from 14th December
Eurostar and SNCF have just announced a new service to Switzerland which starts on 14 December. Take the Eurostar from London to Lille and there join the new TGV service to Geneva. With a 35 minute connection time in Lille, you can be on the shores of Lake Geneva only 6 hours and 20 minutes after departing London. Many of the major Swiss towns and cities have connections from Geneva, making Switzerland even more accessible.

In addition to the direct London to Avignon service which is already in operation, Eurostar is extending the route to offer direct trains from London to Lyon and Marseilles. If you are planning to visit France from May 2015 onwards, please ask us about these three direct services. We are hoping that a direct service from London to Amsterdam will be available in 2016 – watch this space…
